Fuel Price Hike, what’s the alternative?

The natural resources of our precious planet is running out. It is us to blame and we face the consequence may it be global warming or fuel price hike. As its been said ‘necessity is the mother of invention”, we now go for the next possible solution. Technology is a bit catalytic towards the evolution of man in a way. Our quest for a solution is always aided by the power of technology.

Nanotechnology is one among the astonishing accomplishment in the face of technology. Now alternative energy (I don’t know whether I use this term or not) gets ‘nanofied’. Researchers have come up with a ‘Power Shirt’, capable of generating small amount of electricity that can fuel small devices that’s carried by soldiers, hikers or for people constantly in motion. Devices like GPS navigators.

Not only nanotechnology, but bio-mechanical stuffs are also contributing for its share. The image shown beside is a electric generator capable of powering an iPod or a GPS for a walker who wears this knee brace.

Whatsoever new technology may come up with new solutions, it us to use it wisely and conserve the precious energy we poses.

This has been in my mind for a long time now. Most of the knowledge I acquired was all from internet and from some good hearted people. These people are my inspiration to start telling and sharing what I know. I remember, when I was doing my 7th, there was a good ‘thought of the day’ written on the school-news-board. It said,”Knowledge shared is sought. I strongly believe in that, ever since.

So what will I be talking about? well anything I know about graphic stuff. May it be Photoshop, Flash, HTML, Java Script, Ajax, Web 2.0 concept, Dreamweaver and what not. All of them classified into Entry level, Intermediate and Advance level.

Photoshop New Logo

Like all old guys going after a new face lift to show themselves young and exhibit their presence, Adobe has step forward to give it a shot. The first and for most is the logo, Boy! it looks ‘mmm… ok’ kind for me. Altough it resembled some other logo, it’s tag line ‘see what’s possible’ is something that I have experienced with Adobe Products.

For a visual design aiding giant like Adobe could have got more than what they have proposed now. Anyway lets see what it may come in time, as its an ever changing world changes are always inevitable and acceptable as time goes by… you can share your idea.

This buzz word has now transformed itself into a ‘non-jargon’ word. Every netizen is aware of it.
It is a happening thing, yet I wonder, what if this really exist even before it is. When it comes to the internet experience, WEB 2.0 rocks. Now every web page wants web 2.0 feel. Usability, Interactivity, RSS feed has become a layman term, Google maps is the most used navigation system, ‘read in papers this morning’ has gone long ago, ‘I checked today’s podcast’ is happening, Socializing through internet, all these being the aspect of Web 2.0 (especially the last one), it is all about the experience we have .

Lots and lots of good stuffs are coming through in my further posts. Some good WEB 2.0 sites:

Video Games

I got my first video game when I was doing my 9th at school. It was attachable to the Television. I was a little good at that but soon it was broken, it became the victim of my anxiety and my involvement in the game. But now Games have gone to places that were remotely possible to imagine in those days. Often it is not advised to play a lot of them, especially kids. My son plays (now and then) in my computer, I don’t have much games though. It is important for us to limit the playing time and parental discretion is needed when it comes to the content of the game.

There are lots of good games that utilizes the ability of our reasoning and decision making to precision perfect. But most of them out there are brutal both visually and lingually. The choise is always with us.

A Foolhardy Jaunt

It may be a common sight for frequent commuters to see people, mainly college boys, climbing atop the bus and have a joy ride. But for most of us, it is too frightening. The astonishing part is that nobody can question them or held them against doing it. The driver and the conductor of the bus are mum to the puckish mob and let them face the consequences. The bus is one among the couple of buses that had such a “PAYLOAD” (they can never be called as a passenger!). Yesterday(17th July) afternoon, I managed to take a snap of one of the bus (location: Saidapet Bus Terminus, Mount Road, Chennai. ), incidentally the day was traffic intense, it was 1 p.m. and too hot . I wonder how these guys can do such a foolhardy act on a day like this!…. God knows!
